As Interior Design Director at ID & Design International, Jennifer Bonelli brings over a decade of award-winning experience across the hospitality and commercial design industry. From luxury resorts to mixed-use developments, her portfolio reflects a passion for storytelling through space and a deep understanding of brand, experience, and investment.
Jennifer began her career on Wall Street, working in private wealth and real estate investment management at a global investment bank. This foundation in finance gives her a unique lens on design—approaching every decision with an eye toward value, functionality, and return on investment for her clients.
Driven by creativity, Jennifer transitioned into the design world by attending the prestigious New York School of Interior Design’s CIDA-accredited MFA program, after earning her BA in Economics from Bucknell University.
Her design journey started with New York’s imaginative New World Design Builders, where she helped shape standout spaces like CATCH L.A. and redesigned properties for the Gansevoort Hotel Group. She later joined the renowned Jeffrey Beers International, contributing to large-scale entertainment complexes, cruise ships, casinos, and high-profile restaurants for clients such as Disney, Marriott, Hard Rock, and several celebrity chefs.
After relocating to Charleston, Jennifer continued to expand her influence in the Southeast, designing for McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture and leading interiors for The Cooper (Charleston’s newest waterfront luxury hotel), Wild Dunes Resort, and Kempton of Charleston—a high-end senior living development. She also played a vital role in shaping mixed-use and historic projects throughout downtown Charleston.
At Axis Hospitality, Jennifer served as Director of Interior Design, delivering projects like Hotel Iris in Boston, The Garden Hotel & Resort in Ft. Lauderdale, and a modernized South Beach hotel on Collins Avenue. Her team partnered with major national brands including Taylor Morrison and Hilton, reimagining everything from clubhouses and yacht clubs to boutique hotels and branded renovations.
Now at IDDI, Jennifer leads the design vision for a broad portfolio of hospitality and multi-family projects, balancing artistic excellence with strategic thinking. She is known for her collaborative leadership style and for building meaningful partnerships with architects, developers, operators, and investors. With every project, she brings a curated, brand-aligned approach that elevates the guest and owner experience and maximizes long-term value.
